The Illinois Lottery celebrated two big winners over the weekend. One online player won the record-breaking $1,551,431 jackpot in the Illinois Super Jackpot game. This game started with a $50,000 prize but quickly climbed past seven figures. Players pay $20 per entry, and so far in 2025, over 303,000 winning tickets have been sold, with more than $15.7 million awarded.
The second winner scored $550,000 in Sunday’s Lucky Day Lotto midday draw. Their ticket, with winning numbers 3, 8, 15, 16, and 39, was purchased at MK Simplemart, 8145 S. Pulaski Ave., Chicago. The store received a $5,500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The Illinois Lottery sold over 15,800 winning tickets for the midday Lucky Day Lotto on Sunday alone, highlighting its popularity among players.
